November Meeting

Greetings, brethren!

I would like to say a personal “thank you” to everyone for their prayers over the last few weeks. As many of you know, my mother-in-law was very ill and I was not able to be at the October meeting which my church hosted. Mrs. Parker went home to be with the Lord the next evening with my wife, daughter, and I at her bedside. A special thanks to the people of my church for carrying on in my absence. They really stepped up. I was told the fellowship was very sweet. Bro. Don Dryden, veteran missionary to Haiti, and Bro. Scott Caudill, pastor of Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, GA, preached. Thanks Bro. Caudill for filling in on such short notice.

Our next meeting is Thursday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m. This meeting is our special “Prayer for America Rally”. The meeting will be hosted by Bro. George Pinion and Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church in Rossville, GA. Please go to https://tristateibpf.wordpress.com/2012/10/22/prayer-for-america-rally/ for a personal letter from Bro. Pinion. Dr. Shelton Smith, president and editor of the Sword of the Lord, will be our preacher for this important service. Invite your church to attend this patriotic rally which is sure to be a blessing. The pastor that brings the largest delegation will receive a copy of Harmony of the Gospels with Commentary by veteran missionary Randy Pike, compliments of Bro. Pinion. All preachers and their wives are invited to supper at 5:30 p.m. Please let the church know if you will be eating by emailing them at etbc@comcast.net or calling the church office at 706-866-2156 Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
