October Meeting

Greetings, brethren!

We’d like to thank Bro. Shad Smith and the members of Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga for hosting last month’s meeting. We had a good crowd and a wonderful time of fellowship. Bro. Jon Alverson, the minister of missions at Temple preached a great message from the book of Esther, “A Great Story for a Growing Struggle”. Bro. Johnnie Nix from the Way of the Cross Baptist Church preached with passion from Philippians 3:1-11. We were all blessed with a nice meeting. (By the way, continue praying for Bro. Shad and his health.)

Our next meeting is Thursday, October 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Deep Springs Baptist Church, the church that I have the privilege to pastor. We are excited about our scheduled preachers. Veteran missionary Don Dryden will be one of our preachers. He and his wife, Bridgitt, have ministered in Haiti for 37 years, planting six churches, starting 3 Christian schools, and establishing a Bible college that currently has 142 students. Dr. Melvin Aiken is our other scheduled preacher. Bro. Aiken is the pastor of the great Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, SC which was founded by Dr. Harold Sightler. You’ll not want to miss these two great men of God.
