Next Meeting – 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 @ Moriah Baptist Church

Dear Preacher

The Bible Baptist Church and Pastor Ricky Gravley were very gracious host to all the preachers during the last fellowship meeting. We enjoyed two great messages. First Dr. R.G. Smith preached from Acts 20:13, 17 on “Ten Things for the Ministry” showing us steps of progression in the ministry. Second Dr. Ken Trivette brought a message on “Taking the oversight of your life!” from Heb. 12:15. He encouraged us in the area of guarding our hearts by keeping ourselves Hungry, Happy and Holy. We want to thank the Lord and both of these men of God, for being a great blessing to the fellowship meeting. Thanks again to Bible Baptist church and Pastor Gravley for the delicious meal and fellowship.

Our next meeting will be at the Moriah Baptist Church in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA on Thursday, October 2nd at 10:00 a.m. where Bro. Randy Lynn is the host Pastor. The preachers will be Evangelist Richard Harper from Charleston, Virginia and Dr. Wayne Cofield the Pastor of Whitfield Baptist Church. During this meeting we will be selecting officers to serve for 2009 as well as a preacher from the fellowship to represent Tri-State fellowship in the 2009 Georgia State wide meeting. Your presence during this meeting is very important please pray about your choice and cast your ballot.

If you would be interested in hosting a meeting in 2009 please let one of the officers know so we can get you scheduled before all the dates are gone. Please visit our web page for a schedule of up coming meetings www.tristateibpf.wordpress.com

Dear Preacher,

I am very excited about the potential for the special evening service that our Tri-State Baptist Independent Pastor’s Fellowship has planned for Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00pm. It will be our great joy at Elizabeth Terrace Baptist church to host this meeting. The idea for a service like this began to take place earlier this year as a group of our pastors returned from our great Georgia State Independent Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship meeting in Atlanta. One of our concerns was to have a meeting of our fellowship in the evening time that would allow the men in our area who are bi-vocational pastors to attend. As the year has progressed, the importance of this kind of a meeting has become even more evident. I think all of us realize as never before that our nation and our churches have come to a very critical crossroads. I am convinced that we desperately need to follow the exhortation of our Lord in Revelation 3:2 to the Church at Sardis and “Strengthen the things that remain.”

The speakers for our meeting will be Evangelist Raymond Hancock and Pastor Joe Arthur. There will be a great combined choir from Nelly Head Memorial Baptist Church and Elizabeth Terrace Baptist Church. We will have special singing by Mrs. Linda Hicks and Evangelist Kurt LaBouve. This will be a great evening of worship and encouragement, especially as we draw near to possibly the most crucial election of President our nation has ever faced.

I would like to encourage you to plan to attend this great meeting and if at all possible to bring the leadership from your church along with you. Our only agenda will be to exalt the Lord Jesus and to encourage our people to remain faithful in these last days.

It will be our great pleasure to provide the evening meal for all of our pastor’s and their wives at 5:30pm on this special evening. In order to prepare for this we need to know if you are coming. Please call the church at 706-866-2156, between the hours of 8:00am and 1:00pm, Monday through Friday, and let us know if you are coming. We will need to have your response no later than Friday, October 17 to make our necessary preparations. Please call me if I can answer any other questions concerning the meeting. We look forward to seeing you on October 28th.

Sincerely,

Pastor George Pinion
