Dear Preacher
The August fellowship meeting at the Deep Springs Baptist Church was a great blessing to everyone in attendance. Two very encouraging messages were brought by the preachers. First Bro. Pat Gordon preached from Rom. 13:11 on “Are You Sleeping?” warning us of the danger of falling into spiritual sleep while at the wheel of ministry. Second Bro. Ron Guffey brought a message on “How to Pastor a Baptist Church without Going Crazy!” from Matt. 11:28-30. He brought out 8 points “The Principle of … Identification, Dedication, Organization, Consecration, Delegation, Meditation, Recreation and Transformation”. We want to thank the Lord and both of these men of God, for being a great blessing to the fellowship meeting.
We want to thank Bro. Dale Kidd and all the fine folks at the Deep Springs Baptist Church for providing a great meal, the grilled hamburgers & hotdogs with the trimmings were a delightful change.
Our next meeting will be at the Bible Baptist Church in Rossville, GA on Thursday, September 4th at 10:00 a.m. where Bro. Ricky Gravley is the host Pastor. The preachers will be Dr. R.G. Smith and Dr. Ken Trivette Director of Native American Ministries.
We need a church to host the December meeting, also we are scheduling meetings for 2009. If you would be interested in hosting a meeting please let one of the officers know so we can get you scheduled before all the dates are gone. Directions to Bible Baptist Church; traveling west on Hwy 2A cross Hwy 27 at Fort Oglethorpe, continue 1 ½ miles, turn left onto Happy Valley Rd. before you get to Ridgeland High School. Continue on Happy Valley Road, turn at the second left onto Talley Lane, Bible Baptist church is on the right.
