Dear Preacher
We enjoyed our first Tri State Independent Baptist Preachers Fellowship at Parkway Baptist Temple in Ft. Oglethorpe. The Lord used the preachers to speak to the men of God with two wonderful messages Bro. Chris Eaves brought the first message from Luke 22:31-32 on “Satan hath desired to have you”. Bro. Don Pinson brought an interesting message on “Why God Birthed America”, his text was Acts 17:26 – 27. What great preaching! We want to thank Pastor David Sampson and all the Parkway Baptist family for their hospitality and for providing the delicious meal for all the preachers during the fellowship.
Our next meeting will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 6th 2011 @ Whitfield Baptist Church located in Dalton, GA where Bro. Wayne Cofield is the host Pastor. Our preachers for the month of October are Pastor Brent Coley of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN and Pastor Tony Howeth of Newton Baptist Church in Covington, GA.
Here are the directions: Whitfield Baptist Church is located at 2134 Dug Gap Road in Dalton, Georgia. From I- 75 take exit 333, go east on Walnut Avenue to the 4th traffic light Turn onto Dug Gap Road beside the Walgreen’s Pharmacy and drive for about 2.3 miles. As you drive, you will pass by Dug Gap Elementary School on the right. Go over the hill and through the light. Whitfield Baptist Church is located at the bottom of the hill on the right. From Connector #3: Turn onto Dug Gap Road beside the Wendy’s. Drive for about 3 miles. Whitfield Baptist Church is on the left.
Also all the area Pastors and preachers are invited to a special day with Dr. Harold L. Willmington Dean of School of the Bible at Liberty University. The meeting will begin 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 29th, 2011 at Parkway Baptist Temple in Ft. Oglethorpe, GA. Dr. Willmington has a great burden to help equip young preachers for this generation. Dr. Willmington will be preaching on the Doctrine of the Trinity that Saturday. He has handouts for the men, and he will be bringing his books for purchase. Hopefully, this will be a blessing an a benefit to our pastors and students of the Word.
