Greetings, brethren!
Our last meeting was a great blessing. We want to thank Bro. Tom Swafford and the members of Summer City Baptist Church for hosting our July meeting. We enjoyed our “mountain top” experience. Bro. George Pinion preached a timely message from John 2 on “Keys to a Maximum Marriage”. Bro. Bob Daugherty preached a very practical message “The Kind of Church God Can Add To” from Acts 2. Everything was just right.
Our next meeting is Thursday, August 7, 10:00 a.m. at Moriah Baptist Church in Fort Oglethorpe, GA where Bro. Randy Lynn is the pastor. Our scheduled preachers are Bro. Virgil Smith, pastor of Hamilton Baptist Church in Chattanooga, and Bro. Gary Ledford, pastor of University Baptist Church in Atlanta and the secretary of the Independent Baptist Fellowships of Georgia. We look forward to a great meeting.
Directions to Moriah Baptist Church, 2864 Battlefield Parkway, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742. From points south take I-75 N to exit 350 Ringgold/Ft. Oglethorpe. Turn left onto Battlefield Parkway going toward Fort Oglethorpe. Go 4.2 miles, make a U-turn and go back .2 miles to the church. From points north take I-75 S to exit 353 and turn right on Cloud Springs Road. Go 1 mile and turn left onto Dietz Road and go 1.4 miles to Battlefield Parkway. Turn right and go 1 mile. Make a U-turn and go back .2 miles to the church.
I failed to mention in the last letter that the fellowship chose Bro. Wayne Cofield to be our representative at the 2015 statewide meeting of the Independent Baptist Fellowships of Georgia. We know Bro. Cofield will represent us well and look forward to the statewide meeting next spring.
