Well, things were red hot at the August meeting of our fellowship as we enjoyed two great messages. Bro. Chris Peponis preached from Ezekiel 22:30 on “What God is Looking For”. What a blessing his enthusiasm was to us all. Bro. Wayne Cofield preached from his life’s verse Acts 20:24 about priorities, prayer and preaching. It was great to see Bro. Wayne’s heart and the reason God has blessed him these 34 years at Whitfield Baptist Church. We want to thank Bro. Randy Lynn and his church for doing a fine job of hosting the meeting. In spite of some electrical problems they “got it done” and furnished a wonderful meal.
Our next meeting is Thursday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. at the Temple Baptist Church in Chattanooga where Bro. Shad Smith is the pastor. Our scheduled preachers are Bro. Jon Alverson, minister of missions at Temple Baptist Church, and Bro. Johnny Nix, pastor of Way of the Cross Baptist Church in McDonald, TN. Pray for these men that God would use them in a mighty way.
