Greetings In The Name of Our Lord,
I hope this letter finds you doing well and enjoying the work of the LORD. We are so grateful for all that the LORD has been doing here at Harmony Baptist Church. My family and I have sure been enjoying where the LORD is allowing us to serve and God has blessed us far beyond our wildest dreams! I wanted to take a moment and share with you something that is coming up here at our wonderful church and tell you about the burden that God placed on my heart at little over a year ago.
God began to birth in my heart a vision for our ladies and the ladies in our surrounding churches to have a retreat that would bring us all closer together and encourage us in the days ahead. I don’t know about you, but I need these type meetings more and more in these last days. I am very thankful for the Retreats that are close to us and have been a blessing to so many, but I wanted our ladies of Harmony Baptist to be on the giving and receiving end of blessings that come from hosting such a wonderful meeting. Soon, God placed the theme for this year’s meeting on my heart: “The Past is a Promise.” I have pondered many times on all of the things that we have had the privilege of seeing God do in days gone past, but I am encouraged to know that what I have seen Him do before He can certainly do again. After all, I have seen Him do wonders time and time again in my life and it has been these moments that God has used to encourage my heart in times of despair.
My prayer is that God will use our speakers, Dr. Peggy Ellis, wife of Dr. Terry Ellis, President of Rock of Ages and Sis. Nolita Gravely, wife of Dr. Ricky Gravely, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Rossville, GA to bring a great lesson of reminding us that the “Past is a Promise” of all that God can and will do if we will just let Him.
My hope is that you will join me on this day. It would sure be an encouragement not only to my heart but to the hearts of my precious ladies! What a joy it is when we can come together with like-minded Christians and encourage each other in the LORD! So, won’t you join me on this day? It would truly be my honor to have you! Whether you come alone or you bring a group of ladies, each and every one of you would welcome. Please take note of the RSVP date on the flyer. This will enable us to prepare for your arrival. Thank you all and hope to see you on May 30th at 9 AM.
In His Service,
Missy Harris / Pastor’s Wife at Harmony Baptist Church
