Dear Preacher
Our June fellowship meeting at the Peoples Baptist Church was a great blessing to the preachers. We want to thank Pastor John Carroll and Pastor Steven Kellogg and all the fine folks at the Peoples Baptist Church for providing a great meal (looked like a homecoming spread). The special singing provided by Bro. & Sis. Hawkins and Sis. Linda Hicks really blessed or hearts. Two very encouraging messages were brought by the preachers. First Bro. Tom McGuirt preached from Ex.13:17, 18 on “The long way around” reminding us of what we learn during detours of life. Second Dr. Clarence Sexton brought a message on “Digging and Dunging” from Luke 12:49 – 13:9, 16:1. Reminding us that God is digging and dunging to cause fruit bearing in our lives and ministries. We want to thank both of these men of God for the good encouragement from God’s word.
Thanks again to all the members of Peoples Baptist Church for being gracious host and providing the delicious meal for all the preachers.
Our next meeting will be at the Victory Baptist Church in Rossville, GA on Thursday, July 3rd at 10:00 a.m. where Bro. Ernest Groce is the host Pastor. This is Camp Meeting week at Victory the preachers will be announced at the meeting.
Our Moderator Bro. Johnny Nix gave a special gift for every Preacher that was in attendance at the June meeting. He has a DVD with voices and tributes to past giants in the faith. If you missed the meeting and would like a copy please see Bro. Johnny.
With the June meeting behind us the year is half gone. We are now scheduling meetings for 2009. If you would be interested in hosting a meeting for next year please let one of the officers know so we can get you scheduled before all the dates are gone.
