Dear Preacher
Our July fellowship/Camp meeting at the Victory Baptist Church was a great blessing to everyone in attendance. We want to thank Bro. Ernest Groce and all the fine folks at the Victory Baptist Church for providing a great meal. Two very encouraging messages were brought by the preachers. First Bro. Johnny Nix preached from John 10:11-20 on “I Am the Good Shepherd” challenging us in the ministry of shepherding God’s flock. “You can never be an adequate shepherd until you are an available servant.” Second Bro. Jim Kennard brought a message on “Wise Investment” from Matt. 25:14-30 warning us of Satan’s tactics and reminding us to invest wisely in the “old paths”. We want to thank both of these men of God for the good encouragement from God’s word.
Thanks again to all the members of Victory Baptist Church for being gracious host and providing the delicious meal for all the preachers.
Our next meeting will be at the Deep Springs Baptist Church in Dalton, GA on Thursday, August 7th at 10:00 a.m. where Bro. Dale Kidd is the host Pastor. The preachers will be Bro. Pat Gordon Representative for Fundamental Bible Worldwide Mission and Bro. Ron Guffey the Pastor of Eleventh Ave Baptist Church in Dalton, GA. Bro Kidd and the church have an old fashion summer picnic planed for the meeting with hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings.
We are now scheduling meetings for 2009. If you would be interested in hosting a meeting for next year please let one of the officers know so we can get you scheduled before all the dates are gone.
Directions from Chattanooga: Take I-75 south to exit 341. Turn left at the end of the ramp. Go about 4.6 miles and turn right on GA Rt. 2 (If you get to the stop sign, you’ve gone too far). Go 6 miles and turn right on Deep Springs Road. Go about 1 mile and turn left on Cave Hollow Road. Follow Cave Hollow Road to the “T” (about 1 mile) and turn left. The church is immediately on your right.
From Calhoun: From I-75 exit 336 take Rt. 41/76 east 2.4 miles to Cleveland Hwy (Rt. 71) and turn left. Go about 2.7 miles and turn right on Beaverdale Road (stop light and two big churches on the right). Go 5.7 miles on Beaverdale Road and the church will be on your right immediately past the Deep Springs Superette Store. The driveway will be on the curve so slow down and don’t miss it.
Pastor Kidd along with the Deep Springs Baptist Church family are looking forward for a great time of preaching and fellowship. Brethren, please pray for and attend the meeting. We hope to see you there. May the Good Lord richly bless you, as you labor in His service.
